UniCorr is an optical scanning device designed to automatically calibrate Sphera2 Plus XL and Sphera3 projects, ensuring that the edged lenses match the reference master lenses.
It is developed to recognize and adjust lens shapes, holes and pockets.

Whenever the operator begins working on a new batch, it is necessary to cut several lenses and compare them to a master lens with a caliper, looking for the differences and adjusting the offsets on the Tecnocam projects accordingly. This process is entirely manual and requires a significant amount of setup time. By connecting UniCorr to the customer’s computer network, it will be possible to prepare and save master projects and use them to automatically calculate and send tool offsets, if needed. After analyzing the first edged lens with UniCorr, the size-shape adjustments and hole mispositions are directly applied in Tecnocam over the network, like the DCU. Furthermore, with UniCorr, it is possible to verify logos’ position so that the operator can correct any error. A personal computer with a touchscreen and a barcode reader are integrated to make the process easier.
